Travel funding for medical students

The TAFP Foundation provides travel funding to attend TAFP meetings to students enrolled in a Texas medical school who are interested in family medicine. For more information, contact Angelina Trevizo at atrevizo@tafp.org or by phone at (512) 329-8666 ext. 136.


Annual Session and Primary Care Summit
Nov. 8-10, 2019 | The Woodlands

Each year, hundreds of primary care physicians from across the region gather to learn, network, and explore the latest in techniques, products, and services. It’s like a big family medicine reunion, and we want you to be there. Annual Session is your chance to become involved in determining the Academy’s policies and direction. It is one of two annual meetings of the Academy’s Board of Directors and its committees and commissions, including the Section on Medical Students. Annual Session also includes CME opportunities, social events, TAFP’s research poster competition, and more.

The ASPCS Resident and Student Track is held at TAFP’s Annual Session and Primary Care Summit. It is geared toward family medicine residents and medical students interested in family medicine, and features lectures in the morning, meetings in the afternoon, and a residency and procedures fair in the evening.

C. Frank Webber Lectureship and Interim Session

Join primary care physicians from across the state to learn, network, and explore the latest in techniques, products, and services in the refined elegance of the Renaissance Austin Hotel for the C. Frank Webber Lectureship and Interim Session. Interim Session is your chance to become involved in determining the Academy’s policies and direction. It is one of two annual meetings of the Academy’s Board of Directors and its committees and commissions, including the Section on Medical Students. Elections are held during the section meeting.

The CFW Resident and Student Track is held at TAFP’s C. Frank Webber Lectureship and Interim Session. It is geared toward family medicine residents and medical students interested in family medicine, and features a job and residency fair in the morning, lectures through the afternoon, and a residency and procedure fair in the evening.
