Tell Congress to reauthorize the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education program
Without congressional action, a program that trains residents in community-based settings and helps alleviate the nation’s shortage of primary care physicians will expire on September 30, 2017. But you can use AAFP’s Speak Out to tell your representatives to act now to reauthorize the Teaching Health Center GME program. You’ll be amazed at how easily you can make your voice heard.

Ask your U.S. representative to sign on to the Primary Care Enhancement Act
H.R. 365 would allow patients with health savings accounts and high-deductible health plans to join direct primary care practices, a move many DPC proponents believe is crucial to the model’s future success.
