Make your mark on family medicine
It’s that time of year again, when TAFP asks all members to consider signing up to serve on a committee or commission, or to indicate your interest in a section, a future officer position, or representing your local chapter at the Member Assembly. We’re only as strong as our members and we need family physicians from across the state to contribute your experience and opinions to keep our Academy at the forefront of the specialty. Complete the Make Your Mark form here.

ICD-10 delay does not mean to stop preparing
While The Protecting Access to Medicare Act recently signed into law delayed ICD-10 implementation until at least Oct. 2015, physicians are being encouraged to continue their preparation for the new coding system. AAFP’s Family Practice Management has a list of helpful articles and resources related to ICD-10, which can be found here. Additionally, the National Procedures Institute has a new ICD-10 course this year being held in Las Vegas in May, Chicago in August, and Orlando in September. Go to www.npinstitute.com/product-p/icd10.htm for more information and to register.
