Apply for the new Texas physician loan repayment program by June 15

Are you still paying off medical school loans? Do you think you may live in a primary care Health Professional Shortage Area? The deadline is quickly approaching for the new Texas Physician Education Loan Repayment Program. Apply by June 15 to be eligible for up to $160,000 in loan forgiveness over four years.

Spots in the inaugural cohort are still open to physicians who have educational debt and agree to practice in a primary care HPSA, whether you are just starting out or have an established practice. Find out if your practice is in a HPSA by entering your street address into the Shortage Area Locator on the Health Resources and Services Administration website: http://datawarehouse.hrsa.gov/GeoAdvisor/ShortageDesignationAdvisor.aspx.
