Two TAFP members to run for TMLT board, policyholders vote by mail in October

Two TAFP members will run for places 1 and 3 on the Texas Medical Liability Trust’s Board of Governors, Kurt Frederick, M.D., and James Merryman, D.O. The election will take place this fall, with ballots mailed to TMLT policyholders in October.

The TMLT Board of Governors, made up of nine physician members, meets seven times a year in Austin where they receive reports from the TMLT executive management team and discuss current issues, as well as undertake future planning. Candidates for the board may be nominated by the TMLT board and by TMLT policyholders and are elected annually by TMLT policyholders.

Don’t forget to return your ballots to make sure the voice of family medicine is well represented on the TMLT board.
