Find your ideal rural practice location through HealthFind 2008
posted 07.31.08
Longing to escape big-city traffic for the fresh air and wide-open spaces of the country? Family physicians and residents looking for a rural practice can find a community to meet their needs at HealthFind 2008 on Aug. 23 in Addison. Sponsored by the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals and the Office of Rural Community Affairs, HealthFind brings rural communities and family physicians together to meet, mingle and make a match.
This year’s event, themed “Where City Meets Country,” kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast. For the rest of the day, physicians and residents meander through county fair-style booths where representatives from rural communities display the characteristics that make their areas unique. The $50 registration fee includes entrance to the exhibit hall, two meals and a one-night stay at the Hotel Inter-Continental Dallas in Addison, though physicians must make the room reservation.
