Calling all researchers: Enter TAFP’s annual research poster competition

The TAFP Commission on Public Health, Clinical Affairs and Research will host its annual student, resident and community physician poster competition at the 59th Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in Houston, July 16-20. Make sure your school, residency program or practice is represented for its work in family medicine research.

New this year, the Commission has expanded the categories for the 2008 competition. Applicants can submit posters in primary research, case report or evidence-based review. Resident winners will receive cash prizes and students and community physicians will receive plaques.

To ensure the integrity of the competition, the Commission will review all entries before the competition. Please note that the deadline to submit an abstract of your poster is May 16, which is earlier than last year. All entrants will know by June 1 if their poster is eligible to compete and the poster competition will take place at the Westin Galleria Houston on Friday, July 18.
