New Be Wise — Immunize Materials available for your patients

Texas Medical Association’s Be Wise — Immunize (sm) program has produced brand new materials for physicians to distribute to their patients, including colorful posters, fact sheets on childhood diseases and informational handouts on ImmTrac. Available in English and Spanish, these materials can help inform your patients about the importance of vaccines.

You can be a part of Be Wise during August by planning a weekend or after-hours clinic, or by dedicating a specific time during the day to administering immunizations. August is the perfect time to plan a Be Wise immunization event for two reasons. One, parents will be taking their children to their primary care physician to ensure their shots are current with school requirements, and August is National Immunization Awareness month.

There are currently 32 events scheduled for August. When you plan your event, be sure to let TMA know so they can add yours to the Be Wise Calendar. Contact the TMA Be Wise coordinator at (512) 370-1470 or bewisecoordinator@texmed.org.

Be Wise — Immunize is a registered service mark of the Texas Medical Association.
