TAFP entered the session with three main goals: create a substantial new physician loan repayment program for primary care physicians, require health plans to provide instant verification of benefits at the point of care and stave off efforts by advanced practice nurses to achieve independent practice. TransforMED publishes second round of findings from medical home national demonstration project
AAFP's medical home consulting firm, TransforMED, continues to examine the two-year national demonstration project concluded last year with this new report. National organization works to build collaborative practice models
Health care executives, physicians and other health professionals met recently in San Antonio to discuss collaborative practice models and a team approach to providing quality care. The executive director of the Case Management Society of America writes to update TAFP members on the conference.
