Update your information in online TMHP database

To increase access to care for the Medicaid population, the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership has developed an online resource to help beneficiaries statewide find physicians. To make the tool—the Online Provider Lookup—the most up-to-date, TMHP needs physicians to update their contact information, office hours and practice limitations. Provider information will be housed on the non-secured portion of the TMHP Web site and will be available to Medicaid clients and other health care providers through a basic search.

Once on the TMHP Web site, find the sidebox on the left of the page that says “Providers: Update your information today!” Physicians will need a username and password to change their information or they can create a new username and password on the site. According to a TMHP announcement, the online directory will contain information about the physicians’ practice type and specialty as well as demographic information about each provider: address and telephone number, a map of the office location, office hours, languages spoken, Medicaid Waiver Program participation, additional services offered, and client age and gender limitations.

The provider directory will also contain links to health maintenance organization Web sites for clients to search each HMO network for participating providers. Access the Provider Lookup on the TMHP Web site, www.tmhp.com.
