Learn how to select and optimize an EMR system
posted 08.08.07
The Medical Records Institute will host two EMR Road Show Physician Forums in Austin and San Antonio in September. EMR Road Show Forums provide an educational program and platform to learn about electronic medical records and view systems during half-day programs. Physicians will hear a presentation about EMRs by industry leaders, see vendor demonstrations and exhibits, network with other physicians and EMR experts, and receive two CME credits.
The programs address both physicians who have an EMR and those who don’t. For physicians looking for an EMR, the Road Shows can provide information on what to look for among the more than 300 EMR systems vendors. For physicians who have already adopted an EMR in their practice, they can explore if they are using their EMR system to its fullest potential. What has the EMR done to make your practice more productive? What capabilities are available with the EMR to improve quality of care, patient safety and make a practice more competitive?
At an EMR Road Show, physicians can learn the latest EMR developments, find out about the forces and issues behind EMR adoption, explore case studies, and analyze what would work best for their practice.
Upcoming EMR Road Show Physician Forums in Texas:
- September 18, 8 a.m. to Noon, the Omni San Antonio Hotel in San Antonio
- September 19, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Austin Embassy Suites-North in Austin
