As an attendee, your general registration fee includes: a comprehensive course syllabus on CD and a printed book; admission to all general CME sessions; admission to breakfast and lunch on Friday; refreshment breaks and an official name badge, tote bag, and lanyard. If you plan to use your personal computer during the program, TAFP recommends you arrive early to secure a seat located in the reserved section with power.

The C. Frank Webber Lectureship will be held at the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark, conveniently located on the northbound frontage road of IH-35 and Hwy 71 just eight miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and 10 miles north of Buda. For detailed directions, click here.

The room block is now sold out. For questions about your reservation, call the Omni Hotel at (512) 448-2222. If you do not have a reservation at the Omni and need a place to stay, there are numerous hotels in the area. A popular music festival will be in town during our meeting; make your hotel accommodations quickly to ensure you have a place to stay. TAFP does not have a block reserved at these hotels, so inventory may fluctuate. Attendees may also look for available rooms on www.hotels.com or www.expedia.com.

Objectives

The 2011 C. Frank Webber Lectureship will provide family physicians and other health care providers the opportunity to update their medical knowledge of important advances in the medical field, narrow practice gaps by addressing unmet educational needs, enhance their clinical skills, and support their professional development through a dynamic curriculum. Through didactic lectures, case discussions, and audience interaction, the C. Frank Webber Lectureship strives to develop and promote continuing medical education with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient care.

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

This symposium has been designated by TAFP for a maximum of 1 hour of credit in ethics and/or medical responsibility.

The TAFP adheres to the ACCME standards regarding industry support of CME and disclosure of faculty and commercial support relationships, if any, will be made known at the conference.

Application for CME credit will be filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.

C. Frank Webber, M.D., the lectureship’s namesake, served as the chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and eventually dean of the school.
