As a part owner and the managing partner of the National Procedures Institute, TAFP is proud to bring the popular NPI Stress ECG Testing Workshop to the 60th Annual Session and Scientific Assembly. This CME medical conference covers the basics for cardiac exercise testing (ET), including indications, contraindications, limitations, alternatives, equipment and personnel needs. Whether you have been doing exercise testing for years or are now considering it for your practice, you will benefit from this CME medical conference.
This program has been reviewed and is accepted for 12 prescribed credits by the AAFP and will be taught by TAFP member, Grant Fowler, M.D.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this activity, the learner should be better able to:
- Understand the epidemiology and presentation of coronary artery disease (CAD).
- Review the alternatives for detecting CAD.
- Discuss the various protocols for ET.
- Define the cardiopulmonary and ECG changes with exercise.
- Learn to set up, perform and interpret ETs.
- Present the guidelines for training and the experience necessary for competence.
- Review the components of exercise prescription.

SAM Workshop in Maternity Care

Attention ABFM Diplomats: Get credit for the Self Assessment Module of your Maintenance of Certification though the SAM Study Group Workshop in Maternity Care Wednesday, July 15. At the workshop, diplomats will discuss and complete the 60-question Knowledge Assessment portion of the module presented by TAFP and moderated by Rebecca Gladu, M.D. Attendees will be eligible to complete the Clinical Simulation online after the conference.
Participants will receive credit if they are currently eligible and enrolled in the ABFM MC-FP process, haven’t completed the current MC-FP stage, paid the MC-FP fees to the ABFM prior to completing the Clinical Simulation, completed the Clinical Simulation, and attendee and fully participated in the educational discussion for the entire session.
