Objectives

This continuing medical education program is designed to update primary care providers in the fields of family medicine and internal medicine, and other health professionals with the most recent information on issues that will affect their day-to-day practice as well as broaden their knowledge of diagnosis, treatment and patient education. At the conclusion of this CME activity, the attendee should be better able to:

  • Apply the latest scientific principles of preventive medicine for a number of conditions prevalent in primary care,
  • Recognize opportunities for prevention during visits for episodic and chronic care, and
  • Understand recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of several commonly encountered diseases in a primary care practice.
