Each year, the TAFP Commission on Public Health, Clinical Affairs and Research sponsors a student, resident and community physician poster competition at the Annual Session and Scientific Assembly. Prizes are funded by the TAFP Foundation. The Commission has added two new categories to the 2008 competition: case report and evidence-based review.
To ensure the integrity of the competition, Commission representatives reviewed all entries before the competition. The deadline to submit an application and abstract was May 16.
Support family medicine research; visit the bulletin board exhibits from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday, July 18.
Information for poster competition entrants
The poster competition will be located on the third floor of the Westin Galleria hotel in Houston. Check in for the poster competition on Friday, July 18 by going to the Annual Session and Scientific Assembly registration desk. Registration will be located on the fourth floor of the Westin Galleria Houston outside Woodway Hall in the Woodway Foyer.
All posters must be set up on their designated 6-foot-by-6-foot bulletin board between 6 and 8 a.m. on Friday, July 18, and must be removed after 5 p.m. Friday, July 18, and before noon on Saturday, July 19. Results will be posted by 5 p.m. Friday and prizes will be mailed the week after Annual Session.
