Issuu, a digital publishing platform, houses electronic versions of TAFP’s quarterly magazine, Texas Family Physician.

TAFP’s Vimeo channel contains TAFP-produced webcasts, videos, and recorded webinars including TAFP Capitol Report, the I Am A Family Doctor video, the New Physician webinar, and others. Many of these videos are embedded throughout tafp.org, and Vimeo allows us to collect them all in one place.

Ustream is our TAFP’s newest social media outlet. Launched at Annual Session in July 2011, TAFP broadcasted the TMLT lecture “Know When to Sign.” In addition to the live streaming function, TAFP’s Ustream channel houses archived broadcasts.

Launched in June 2009, TAFP connects with our members and related organizations through Facebook to communicate TAFP news, videos, pictures, and events, and receive feedback from the family physicians of Texas.

Launched in March 2009, TAFP’s Twitter presence aids the Academy in communicating TAFP news, interacting with other TAFP/AAFP members, and following the latest health care news from other sources. TAFP is an active contributor to the #FMRevolution discussion, a movement started by members of the California Academy to bolster the specialty of family medicine.

TAFP joined LinkedIn in May 2011 and maintains a company page for the general public and a members-only group page. LinkedIn facilitates networking among members and the maintenance of professional contacts for staff and related industry professionals.
